CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) consisting of 30 amino acids (modified GRF 1-29). It stimulates pulsatile growth hormone release from the anterior pituitary gland.
CJC-1295 DAC produces sustained, dose-dependent GH and IGF-1 elevations while preserving physiological pulsatile secretion patterns. Well-tolerated with no serious adverse events. Modified GRF 1-29 is effective for acute GH stimulation and shows strong synergy with ghrelin-mimetic secretagogues.
CJC-1295 is available in two forms: CJC-1295 DAC (Drug Affinity Complex), which binds to albumin for extended half-life (~8 days), and CJC-1295 no DAC (also called Modified GRF 1-29 or MOD-GRF), with a shorter half-life (~30 minutes).
Both promote physiological GH secretion patterns rather than supraphysiological spikes.
CJC-1295 DAC: 1-2 mg once or twice weekly via subcutaneous injection. CJC-1295 no DAC (MOD-GRF 1-29): 100-300 μg per injection, 1-3 times daily, often combined with a GHRP for synergistic effect. Administer before bed or after fasting for optimal GH response. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water.
Growth Hormone Optimization
CJC-1295 amplifies the body’s natural GH pulsatile release pattern, increasing both the amplitude and duration of GH secretion episodes. This produces sustained IGF-1 elevation without the supraphysiological spikes associated with exogenous GH.
Mechanism of Action
Binds to GHRH receptors on anterior pituitary somatotroph cells, activating the cAMP/PKA signaling cascade that stimulates GH gene transcription and vesicular release. The DAC modification enables albumin binding, extending plasma half-life and allowing sustained receptor stimulation.
Body Composition & Fat Loss
Elevated GH and IGF-1 levels promote lipolysis and lean body mass. CJC-1295 has shown improvements in body composition including reduced visceral fat and increased lean muscle mass in clinical studies.
Mechanism of Action
GH activates hormone-sensitive lipase in adipocytes, promoting triglyceride hydrolysis and free fatty acid release. Simultaneously stimulates hepatic IGF-1 production which promotes protein synthesis and nitrogen retention in skeletal muscle.
Sleep Quality & Recovery
CJC-1295 enhances slow-wave sleep duration and quality, as GH is primarily secreted during deep sleep. Improved sleep architecture supports recovery, tissue repair, and immune function.
Mechanism of Action
Amplifies the nocturnal GH surge that occurs during slow-wave sleep stages 3-4. Enhanced GH pulsatility during sleep promotes tissue repair, protein synthesis, and immune cell regeneration.
Connective Tissue & Joint Health
Increased GH and IGF-1 stimulate collagen synthesis, proteoglycan production, and chondrocyte proliferation, supporting joint, tendon, and ligament health.
Mechanism of Action
IGF-1 stimulates chondrocyte proliferation and extracellular matrix synthesis in cartilage. Promotes collagen type II production in joints and collagen type I in tendons and ligaments.
